The Food and Consumers Affairs Minister K V Thomas today said that National Food security bill is likely to be introduced in the Winter session.

Talking to reporters outside Parliament, he said the bill will be sent for the cabinet approval by the second week of next month. Professor Thomas said that all the state governments have already submitted their replies on the draft bill.

He added that his ministry is in discussion with the various departments of the centre government on the issue.
