Minister of state for Food & Civil Supplies Prof K V Thomas has said that the Food Security Act will be in place within six months. Inaugurating a national livestock exhibition at Thiruvananthapuram he said based on revised assessment another 2.45 crore families will be coming under BPL category by that time.
