<span style="color: #222222;">Minister of State for Food Processing Industries, Prahlad Singh Patel today said government is encouraging private investment in the food processing sector through enabling policy framework like 100 percent FDI under automatic route, and coverage of agro and food processing activities. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, the Minister said Food Processing Industries Ministry is implementing the Pradhan Mantri Kisan SAMPADA Yojana for augmenting the overall growth of the sector. He informed that a grant of 3836.76 crore rupees has been approved for 582 completed projects under the Scheme till 31st January this year and 8562.92 crore rupees of investment leveraged through the support.   </span><br />
