Food inflation rose to 9.13 per cent for week ended June 11 from 8.96 per cent in the previous week, According to official data released today, the rise in inflation is mainly due to increase in the prices of milk and protein based-item such as egg, meat and fish. The fuel price index, however, remained unchanged at its previous week's level of 12.84 per cent. The annual rate of inflation stood at 12.62 per cent for the week ended June 11, 2011 as compared to 12.86 per cent for the previous week.
