Former opposition Presidential Candidate Retired General Sarath Fonseka filed an election petition at the Sri Lankan Supreme Court this morning through his lawyers challenging the election of the incumbent President Mahinda Rajapaksa at the recently concluded Presidential election. In his petition Sarath Fonseka, who is now under detention has cited President and 20 others as well as the Elections Commissioner Dayananda Dissanayaka.
