Fog and light drizzle across North India

Thick fog and light drizzle across North India made life uncomfortable for people despite a rise in minimum temperatures across the region.

In Himachal Pradesh the snowfall continues in Kinnaur, Lahaul Spiti, Bharmour and other tribal areas.

Queen of hills Shimla received seasons first snow fall, though a mild one.

Manali also experienced snow yesterday evening disrupting traffic at many places.

Fresh snowfall and rains lashed Kashmir bringing respite to residents from the month-long intense cold wave as the night temperatures rose by several degrees across the region.

In Punjab and Haryana too, dense fog disrupted routine life but minimum temperatures registered an increase by a couple of degrees at many places.

However, Rajasthan remained in the grip of a cold wave with Sikar recording the lowest temperature of 4.5 degree Celsius.

Biting cold condition also has been intensified in the National Capital and its adjoining areas as the city experience light shower on the morning.

But Delhiites got some relief from the foggy weather conditions today and visibility was around 1000 meter.

MeT department said that the city has registered 0.5 mm rain.

The minimum temperature was recorded 12.4 degree Celsius while the maximum settled at 18 degree Celsius.

The weatherman has predicted partly cloudy sky and light rain in the next 24 hours.
