The Jharkhand High Court has issued order for day- today trial of 12 pending cases of the Fodder Scam. A Division Bench of Chief Justice Prakash Chandra Tatia and Justice Jaya Rai has issued the order to all the Special Courts of the CBI. The Court expressed displeasure at the CBI after seeing the status reports filed before it by the premier investigating agency of the country. Our correspondent reports that the intervention of the Jharkhand High Court for speedy disposal of the remaining cases of the Fodder Scam is significant as the remaining cases involve some of the top -most politicians of erstwhile undivided Bihar. The Court specifically expressed displeasure on the slow trial case number RC20A of 96, which involves two ex- Chief Ministers of Bihar- Mr. Lalu Prasad Yadav and Mr. Jaganath Mishra. One hopes that after being pulled up by the High Court, the CBI special Courts would start recording of statements of the witness on daily basis, as directed by the Court.
