The Special CBI Court in Ranchi will take up the arguments on quantum of sentence for RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and 15 others tomorrow. <br/><br/>All the 16 accused, including Lalu Prasad, are presently lodged in the Birsa Munda Central Jail in Ranchi. They were held guilty by the court on the 23rd of last month.<br/><br/>The case relates to illegal withdrawal of over 89 lakh rupees from the Deoghar treasury from 1991 to 1994, when Lalu Prasad was the Chief Minister.<br/><br/>The CBI court had yesterday also served contempt notices to RJD leaders Raghuwansh Prasad, Tejaswi Yadav, Shivanand Tiwari and Congress leader Manish Tiwari for criticising the conviction of Lalu Prasad in the case.
