In Bihar, a special CBI court on Thursday rejected the petitions of former Chief Minister Lalu Prasad and Jagannath Mishra, besides nine others seeking to exonerate them of charges in a case related to the multi-crore fodder scam. The court also dismissed similar petitions filed by nine others, including JD-U Lok Sabha Member Jagdish Sharma, former RJD Minister Vidya Sagar Nishad and Former BJP MLA, Dhruv Bhagat. Designated CBI Judge B K Jain fixed August 29th as the date for framing of charges against these accused. The case relates to the alleged fraudulent withdrawal of 47 lakh rupees from Banka and Bhagalpur Treasuries through forged and fake bills by the state animal husbandry department between 1995 and 1996.
