The Special Court of CBI in Ranchi is likely to pronounce quantum of sentences today against RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and 15 others who were held guilty by the Court on 23rd December in a case of fodder scam. <br/><br/>The case related to illegal withdrawal of more than 89 lakhs rupees from Deoghar treasury in between 1991 to 1994.<br/>'<br/>The schedule hearing of today could not take place as the lawyers had called -off their work in the afternoon, due to death of their colleague. The case relates to period when Lalu Prasad was the Chief Minister of then undivided Bihar.<br/><br/>RJD Chief Lalu Prasad and 15 others have already been held guilty under various sections of India Penal Code and Prevention of Corruption Act by the Special CBI Court of Ranchi.<br/><br/>Today notices for Contempt of Court were issued after the Court took suo-moto cognizance against four important politicians-RJD leaders Raghuwansh Pd Singh, Tejaswi Yadav, Shivanand Tiwari and Congress leader Manish Tiwari, for their reactions in media which allegedly amounted to scandalising the judgement the Court. <br/><br/>The Court also issued notices to two witnesses- Sukhdev Singh and DP Ojha, for making them as accused in the case and two approvers- Shiv Kumar Patwari and Sailesh Kumar Singh, for removing their names from the list of approvers.
