Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman will participate in a credit outreach programme at Kota in Rajasthan today. More than 31,000 beneficiaries will be given loans of more than 1,407 crore rupees. Loans will be given mainly under government schemes like Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Self Help Group Credit Linkage, Kisan Credit Card, Stand Up India Scheme and Prime Minister Employment Generation Programme.<br />''<br />''Entrepreneurs dealing with manufacturing, food processing and public services would also be provided a chance to enhance their financial strength. Cattle rearers (Pashupalak) have also been ensured loans of up to 1.60 lakh rupees, through Pashupalak Kisan Credit Card, Street vendors will be given a loan of 10,000 rupees from the PM-Swa Nidhi scheme and small entrepreneurs working in the production, processing and service sector will be given a loan of up to 50,000 rupees.<br />''<br />''Earlier today, Ms Sitharaman interacted with students at a coaching institute in Kota. She said that youth has an important role to play in the development of the country. Finance Minister said, the government is committed not only to increase seats in engineering and medical colleges, but also to provide skilled quality education. She said medical colleges will be opened in every district of the country.   <br />
