<span style="color: #222222;">Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman has held meetings with her counterparts of different countries  and heads of top international organisations in  Washington DC.  She is on a visit to the US to attend the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund,  the World Bank and the G20 Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors. In her meeting with  Japan's Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki on the sidelines of IMF-WB Annual meetings, she mentioned that this year is special for India-Japan bilateral relations as both are celebrating 70th anniversary since establishment of diplomatic relations as well as India celebrating 75 years of Independence.<br />''<br />'' She added that the year 2023 brings greater responsibilities for India and Japan on the world stage as  New Delhi will take over the Presidency of the G20 and Tokyo will head  G7. The two Ministers also discussed key agenda pertaining to Indo-Pacific economic cooperation.<br />''<br />''Ms Sitharaman also met South Korea Deputy PM and Minister of Economy and Finance, Choo Kyung-ho and discussed possibilities for G20 Finance in 2023 and sought South Korea's support for G20 India 2023 Presidency. The Minister also discussed several economic and financial issues along with matters of India-Saudi bilateral cooperation during her meeting with the Minister of State for Finance, Saudi Arabia Mohammed Al Jadaan.<br />''<br />''During her meeting with Finance Minister of Bhutan, Lyonpo Namgay Tshering, she said India is looking forward to expand bilateral cooperation between the two countries to new and emerging areas including space, digital technologies, financial, health and tertiary education. The two Ministers discussed bilateral development and cooperation issues including Hydro Power and COVID Assistance. She also had meetings with the Minister of International Cooperation of  Egypt,  Finance Minister of Netherlands and others on the sidelines of IMF-WB Annual meetings.  </span><br />
