FM Nirmala Sitharaman announces host of development projects for Tripura

In Tripura, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman today announced a host of development projects for the state.<br />'' <br />'' The projects include 1300 crore rupees worth project for Sustainable Livelihood and Infrastructure Development for Tribal people, 14 crore rupees worth project for widening of four state highways and 7 crore rupees for digitalization of Agartala Smart City.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing a public gathering at Mohanpur, the Union Finance Minister said that the ambitious project aimed to create sustainable livelihood and infrastructure development worth Rs 1,300 crore will be cleared from the central government within a week to ten days. She said the world bank and the central government together will fund the ambitious project.<br />'' <br />'' The Finance Minister said that she had been told that the people living in the remote hamlets of the state do not have connecting roads to the national highways.<br />'' <br />'' Moreover, due to lack of connectivity schools and other basic amenities can't reach the people. She further said that Sustainable livelihood generation is also a priority of the government therefore the government is going to implement this Rs 1,300 crore project. Apart from this, the Union Minister cleared two more projects worth Rs 21 crore during the review meeting the State Government on Externally Added Projects today morning.<br />''  <br />'' Ms.Sitharaman also inaugurated multi-crore projects digitally from the dias. The projects include: a 132 KV power station, 80,000 functional household tap waters, seven projects under RIDF, SPA and a surface water treatment plant funded by Asian Development Bank. The Union Minister arrived Agartala today on a two-day visit to the state.<br />''  <br />
