Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley held pre-budget consultations with Finance Ministers of States and Union Territories in New Delhi today. <br/><br/>The meeting was attended by Chief Ministers of Himachal Pradesh and Puducherry, and Finance Ministers and senior officers from different states. <br/><br/>The representatives from state governments presented their views and offered number of suggestions on various fiscal policy and budgetary measures. Mr Jaitley said, the suggestions will be considered.<br/><br/>The Finance Minister is now chairing the 25th meeting of the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Council. <br/><br/>Our correspondent reports that the Council is deliberating on bringing real estate, stamp duty on a property before registration and petrol and diesel products under the ambit of the taxation scheme.
