Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has asked the Indian Inc to adopt an ethical approach with regards to Non Performing Assets, NPAs.<br/><br/>Addressing a function in New Delhi on Monday, Mr Jaitley said, India Inc is fighting major battle of its own credibility.<br/><br/>He hoped that economy in 2016-17 will be led by industry rather than Government with more investment from private sector.<br/><br/>Mr Jaitley said, global factors are hurting economies around the world, but amidst global slowdown India is moving fast.<br/><br/>Ahead of monetary policy review, he said, high interest rate can lead to sluggish economy.<br/><br/>He expressed the hope that interest rates will further come down and help make the economy more competitive.<br/><br/>Mr Jaitley said, India has missed many chances in past and it is important for the country now to continue its pace of reforms.<br/><br/>Mr Jaitley said, if India wants to be a global leader as far as economy is concerned, the government has primary responsibility in terms of policy. <br/><br/>The Minister said, government has stuck to the fiscal deficit commitment and Inflation has been under control.<br/><br/>He said, this time the amount to be spent on rural roads is three times more than in previous years.
