FM Arun Jaitley says there is need to attract more global investments to India

Finance Minister Arun Jaitley has said there is a need to attract more global investments to India. Delivering 1st memorial lecture at Dr A P J Abdul Kalam Memorial Lecture in New Delhi this evening, Mr Jaitley said, investments will help India build good business environment. <br/><br/>The Finance Minister stressed that taxation system should be credible and stable. Mr Jaitley said, if the taxes will be high, then people will be attracted towards those countries where the taxes are low. He also advocated for credible politics to have good policies.<br/><br/>Citing coal mine and spectrum controversies in past, Mr Jaitley said resources should be fairly distributed. He said connectivity and electrification in villages needs to be improved. <br/><br/>Terming insurgency and terrorism as a challenge, Mr Jaitley said, there is a need to fight them for improved security in the country. <br/><br/>Praising former President late Dr A P J Abdul Kalam for his positivity and dedication for literacy and India's development, Mr Jaitley said, Kalam's connect to youths were instantaneous. He said, the former President will always be cherished for a role model to young generation.
