Finance Minister Arun Jaitley today met his Chinese counterpart Lou Jiwei in Beijing and discussed bilateral economic cooperation and the global macroeconomic situation. <br/><br/>A statement issued from the Indian embassy in Beijing said, the two Ministers talked about bilateral economic cooperation, G20 and BRICS (Brazil, Russia, India, China and<br/>South Africa) as well as global macroeconomic situation.<br/><br/>Jaitley, who arrived in Beijing Thursday on a five-day visit to China, is scheduled to attend the annual Financial Dialogue at the ministerial level with the Chinese Finance Minister on Monday. <br/><br/>Earlier today, Mr. Jaitley attended the annual Board of Governors meeting of Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, AIIB, in Beijing, in which India is the second-largest shareholder after China. <br/><br/>Speaking to the Chinese state-run CCTV ahead of the meeting, Mr. Jaitley said that India has a massive infrastructure programme and will decide on which of the projects under it could be referred to the AIIB for funding.
