Finance Minister Arun Jaitley is chairing a quarterly Performance Review Meeting with the Chief Executive Officers and Managing Directors of Public Sector Banks and Financial Institutions in the national capital.Minister of State for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser among others are also attending the meeting. During the Meeting, Mr. Jaitley will review the overall Performance of Public Sector Banks in current Financial Year and last quarter in particular. The Finance Minister will also review the progress of credit and growth and asset quality especially with regard to Priority sectors. The progress made in the various Social Sector Schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Surkasha Bima Yojana and Atal Pension Yojana as well as in case of Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana, Stand-Up India and MUDRA Schemes will also be reviewed during the meeting. The issues relating to financial inclusion and literacy as well as Non Performing Assets are also likely to be discussed during the one day meeting.
