Floral tributes were paid on Sunday to the first Speaker of the Lok Sabha G V Mavalankar on his 123rd birth anniversary. BJP leader L K Advani and Lok Sabha and Raja Sabha Secretary Generals T K Vishwanathan and V K Agnihotri were among those who paid homage to the veteran freedom fighter in the Central Hall of Parliament. Mavalankar was elected as Speaker of the first Lok Sabha on May 15, 1952 and continued till February 27, 1956.
