Floods kill 14 in Thailand

In Thailand, at least 14 people were killed and thousands affected in floods. The National Disaster Warning Centre has said people had been killed in various accidents caused by the weather in different parts of the south.<br/><br/>Interior Ministry said that about six lakh people from 88 districts are affected and 11 southern provinces declared disaster zones. Heavy rains have lashed the central part of Thailand's south for much of the last week, including the popular tourist draws of Krabi and Koh Samui island, affecting flights and ferry services. Floods have also severed the rail link to the south and Malaysia beyond.
