Floods in Philippines kill 75, injure 13

In the Philippines, floods and landslides triggered by continuous rain have killed 75 people and injured 13. The government statistics today showed that 22 people are still missing. The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said over 2 million people have been affected by rain caused by the Tail-End of the Cold Front, in at least 2,208 villages in 10 regions. The Civil Defense administrator Benito Ramos said about 2 million people, have been affected, of which nearly 11 thousand people are staying in 62 evacuation centres. Damage to infrastructure, agriculture and private properties were estimated to be at 46 million dollars with the infrastructure sector suffering the brunt with 30.9 million dollars.
