Flood situation worsens in western UP

In Uttar Pradesh the flood situation in western part of the state worsen due to continuous rain in Uttarakhand and heavy release of water from different dam and barrages. Besides Haryana and Uttarakhand water is being released from different dams and barrages.According to central water commission three lakh and fifty thousand cusec water has released from Narora Dam in the afternoon and one lakh 70 thousand cusec water is released from banbasa barrage while more than two lakh cusec water has also been released from Girija barrage. About one lakh and fifty thousand cusec water has also released from okhla barrage and about three lakh cusec water has also released from haridwar in the evening. About one and 15 thousand cusec water has also released from Sharda nagar barrage inLakhimpur this eveningAbout a dozen districts of western UP are now severlay flood affected.Yamuna,Ganga ,Ramganga and other local rivers are rising in different places in the state.Ghagara ,Rapti and Sharda rivers are also rising in different parts of the state.Kho river is crossed its earlier peak in Bijnore district.The traffic on Delhi-Lucknow National Highway number 24 is still closed because river is flowing over the road between Moradabad and Rampur. The National Highway number 73connecting Saharanpur -Haridwar has also been closed for traffic due to water on roads between sahsawan and yamunanagr. Beside this many other road links connecting Uttarakhand, Haryana and Dehli are also blocked due to overflowing rivers .road link between Saharanpur and Deharadun has also closed from this eveningAccording to reports Traffic is also disturbed on Paniapt -Khatima National highway because over flowing water of KHO River which has submerged the road near Bijnore district. Train services towards Uttarakhand and Dehli has also got affected.In Bijnore more than two hundred villages are flooded with waters of Ganga, Ramganga and Kho Rivers. About seventy villages have been evacuated by the administration.In Bareilly about 150 villages are facing flood while in Rampur more than 100 villages of Swar thesil are now flood affected and two residential area in the city are also flooded with Kosi. In Saharanpur at least forty villages are now under flood.Bulanshahr, shajhanpur, Muradabad, Badaun, Meerut, Bahraich and Gonda districts are also severely hit by flood.
