<br/>In Haryana, the flood situation has worsened in Kaithal and Fatehabad districts. In Kaithal district, more than one lakh hectares of agricultural land have been submerged, while in Fatehbad district, 10 thousand acres of land and a number of villages are marooned. Kaithal Deputy Commissioner Amneet P. Kumar said that the flood has caused an estimated loss of over 8 crore rupees in the district.<br/><br/>In Fatehabad district, overflowing Rangoi nullah and fresh breaches in the embankment of Ghaghar river have drowned a number of villages under Jakhar block. AIR correspondent reports that in Sirsa also more than 3,500 acres of agriculture land have been submerged in flood waters.<br/> <br/>In Punjab, flood situation has improved as water is receding in most of the villages of Patiala district. In Mansa district water entered in the villages on Sunday after breach in Ghaghar river there. About 800 acres of land in Mansa has been filled with water. AIR correspondent reports that total loss of crops is estimated 480 crore rupees so far besides damage to roads and other infrastructure.<br/>
