Flood situation under control in Sirsa district:Govt

Haryana government claim that the flood situation is under control in Sirsa district. The rescue and relief operation shall be intensified in all the affected areas. A spokesman of the government said that it was heavy monsoon rain, which flooded the rivers and canals in affected districts. The over-flowing water entered in the fields and villages causing huge loss to agriculture, residential and public property. He said, the farmers have been suggested to retransplant paddy after the water recedes. <br/><br/>Agricultural department is looking for readily available nurseries of the paddy crop with the farmers of adjoining districts and states. He said, health authorites are on high alert. Special medical teams are ready to tackle the epidemic like situation, if arises. Army medical authorities are also participating in medical relief. <br/><br/>Meanwhile, Indian National Lok Dal, major opposition party in Haryana has demanded an inquiry by a sitting judge of the High Court to know the result which led to flood in and around seven districts of the State.
