In Western Uttar Pradesh the flood situation still grim. Ramganga River has reached its highest level in Moradabad and broke the 1978 water level .According to Central Water Commission the Ramganga river has touched the level of 192 meter 70 centimeter at midnight while in 1978 the level was 192 meter 68 centimeter. The Ramganga is still flowing above the danger mark in Muradabad and river water has entered in many residential areas in the city. Some residential areas are badly affected by flood. Ramganga has already crossed the danger mark in Bareilly and in shahjhanpur.Due to flood and water logged on several roads, the traffic on National highway between Khatima to Panipat is still closed while Delhi -Pauri has also closed. Road link between Bijnore and Haridwar has also blocked since yesterday.Release of water from Haridwar and other barrages the Yamuna, Ganga ,Ramganga , Kho and Koshi river is overflowing in many places in western UP. Meanwhile The Central Water Commission has said that more than 2 lakh 50 thousand cusec water has been discharged from Banbasa barrage this morning while one lakh 15 thousand cusec water has also been discharged from Girija barrage today.Bijnore district is still worst affected and Rampur, Bareilly, Badaun, Shahjahanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Hamirpur , are also severely affected by flood.
