In Assam, the flood situation in Barpeta, Dhemaji, Sonitpur, Golaghat and Jorhat remain unchanged. Official sources in Guwhati on Tuesday said that flood water submerged 325 villages in those districts. In Uttar Pradesh, the major rivers are flowing above danger line posing flood threat in the state. According to Central Water Commission, Sharda is still flowing 9 cm above the danger mark in Palainkakan in Khiri district. The Ghaghra River is also flowing five centimeters above the danger mark in Elgin Bridge in Barabanki and in Ayodhya. Ganga is rising in Kanpur, Varanasi, Allahabad . Yamuna was above warning level in Mathura but now starts receding there. Yamuna is rising in Agra.
