In UP, the flood situation remains grim same even as major rivers continue to recede. Saryu and Ghaghra rivers are however still flowing above the danger level at Ayodhya and Gonda. Ganga and Ramganga Rivers are also in spate at several places in the western districts.There was no rain fall today in the catchment areas of these rivers but the water is still spread over a large area. In all, more than 800 villages are flood affected spread across 29 districts of the state. Hundred villages in Barabanki and 150 villages in Ballia are affected due to flood waters from the rivers of Ghaghra and Ganga. AIRcorrespondent reports, the state government has provided 21 Crore Rupees for rescue and relief works in the flood affected districts.
