Flood situation in Uttar Pradesh continues to remain grim. More than three thousand villages in the state are facing severe flood condition for last many days. According to central water commission, Ganga is also flowing above the danger mark in Faruukhabadb, Kannuj, Kapur dehat, Kanpur, Raibareilly and in Ballia. While Saryu and Ghagara have touched the danger mark in Gonda and Ayodhya.According to flood control room Rivers are overflowing and numbers of flood affected districts have gone up to twenty seven. Flood in Ramganga has severely affected western parts of UP and flood in Ghaghara and sharda rivers submerged hundred of villages in Gonda Barabanki,Baharaich ,Lakhimpur Khiri districts .The flood control unit says that more than seven hundred villages are completely submerged across the state .According to state Relief Commissioner the state government has released about thirteen corer rupees for flood relief work so far. Four corer rupees has been sanctioned for worst hit Gonda district. Medical teams have been mobilised and vaccination drives are being carried out in all flood affected areas to prevent any epidemic like situation
