The overall flood situation in Assam remained grim with the death toll rising to 122 and large scale destruction of infrastructure, cropland and wildlife reported from different parts of the state. In Dhemaji district, 330 villages are still reeling under flood water . Flood water washed away at least 900 homes and 3 Mini Primary Health Centers. Surface communication in many places also disrupted due to the flood in the district. People have taken shelter at high embankments and relief camps. Health department deployed medical teams along with necessary medicines. Flood water damaged 2 lakh 55 thousand hectare standing crops.
