In Uttar Pradesh, the flood situation remains grim in Barabanki and Gonda. About 140 villages in both the districts are still facing flood fury. The National Disaster Management team is engaged in relief work to minimise the trauma of flood. The villagers of badly affected villages are being rehabilitated at nearby higher villages. Meanwhile the rivers in eastern UP continue their falling trend barring Ganga in Ballia, Ghazipur and adjoining areas. The level of Ghaghra, Rapti and Burhi Rapti is above the danger mark at several places.
