Flood situation in north Bihar remains grim as most of the rivers continue to flow above the danger mark at different points in their courses. Flood water from Ganga continues to wreak havoc in low lying areas of Patna, Munger, Bhagalpur and Khagaria. People in riverside areas have migrated to higher places. Water from the river is fanning out in plains areas of the affected districts. 26 teams of NDRF and SDRF have been pressed into relief and rescue operations.Five lakh 50 thousand people have been evacuated so far.<br />'' <br />''Over five thousand people have taken shelter in relief camps.174 community kitchen centres have been set up to provide food to affected people. Over 1 lakh 40 thousand people are taking food from these relief camps. Over 83 lakh 65 thousand people spread over 1,3333 panchayats of 16 districts are reeling under the impact of floods.
