In Bihar, the flood situation has improved in the central part of the State while in some of the northern districts, it has aggravated. The overflowing Adhwara river is posing fresh threats to flood-ravaged Darbhanga and Madhubani districts. Sitamarhi and Sheohar districts are already facing flood fury. Department of Disaster Mangement had despatched fresh teams of NDRF to the affected areas to intensify relief and rescue operations. Amid forecast of fresh floods in Muzaffarpur, Samastipur, Sitamarhi, Sheohar besides Madhubani and Darbhanga, the State Administration is gearing up to meet any eventuality. Water Resources Department has already issued red alert for District Magistrates and Engineers of the six flood-hit districts. The situation has, however, been reported under control.
