Surge in Sone attributed to continued discharge from Bansagar dam in Madhya Pradesh due to torrential rain. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Water level of Ganga is also increasing all along its course and is flowing above danger mark. Surging water of Ganga is engulfing fresh low-lying areas of Patna, Munger, Khagaria and Bhagalpur districts.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">People living in low-lying areas have been advised to move to higher place. There is no improvement of flood condition in Saran and Gopalganj, but slightly improving  in Darbhanga, Samastipur and Muzaffarpur. Rail traffic on Darbhanga-Samastipur has been restored after 29 days.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">About 83 lakh people spread over 1,333 Panchayats of 16 districts are reeling under the impact of floods. Over 5,50,000 people have been evacuated so far. Over 5,000 people have taken shelter in relief camps. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In all, 29 community kitchen centres have been set up in affected areas to provide food to affected people. The State government has provided an assistance of Rs 6,000 to each of family of over 9,62,000 families.</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Water level of Ganga and Sone is above the danger mark. Meanwhile, Met Department has predicted mild to moderate rainfall in catchment areas of rivers in north Bihar in next 48 hours.</span><br />''
