Flood situation in Assam gradually improving

The flood situation in Assam is gradually improving. The flood affected districts of Central and lower Assam are facing devastating erosion. Along the bank of the Brahmaputra as many as 25 villages from Bhuragaon to Mayong are facing serious erosion and the existence of Bhuragaon is under threat. Moreover, thousands of cattle died in those areas due to water borne diseases. The Pavitora Wild Life Sanctuary is still under water and due to the food crisis all the wild animals including one horn Rhinos forcing to come out from the sanctuary.
