In Gujarat, the flood situation is slowly improving in the worst-affected northern part of the state. Banaskantha and Patan are among the districts which are slowly returning to normalcy. Relief and rescue operation are still underway in all the affected areas. Our correspondent reports that the MeT Office has predicted heavy rain in Saurashtra, Kutch, Diu, Daman and Dadara Nagar Haveli in the next 24 hours.In Rajasthan, relief and rescue operations are in full swing in the flood-affected districts of Sirohi, Pali and Jalore. Sanchor town of Jalore district has been submerged in flood water after the gates of Jawai dam were opened to discharge water. The MeT department has warned of heavy rain in the state, except in Bikaner.
