<br/>The overall flood situation has improved in the northern starts of Punjab and Haryana. While the situation has improved in Ambala, Kurukshetra, Kaithal and Karnal in Haryana, it continues to remain grim in Sirsa and Fatehabad districts.<br/><br/>In Punjab, situation has become normal in flood-affected areas of Patiala district, while some villages of Sangrur district are still affected. Water has started receding in Mansa district where about 15 villages are still affected. Most of the breaches in Ghaghar river have been plugged.
