In Bihar, the flood situation is improving. Most of the rivers are flowing below danger mark. Train services on Darbhanga- Samastipur section has been restored following improvement of flood situation. <br />'' <br />'' Train services on this section was disrupted for five days due to surging water of Bagmati was touching rail bridge between Thalwara and Hayaghat station. Flood affected people who were taking shelter have returned to their homes. <br />'' <br />'' The state government has ordered to assess damaged caused by devastating flood. Over 88 lakh people spread over 13 districts have been affected by floods. <br />''  

Flood situation in Bihar is slightly improving as the water level of major rivers including Ganga, Bagmati, Burhi Gandak and Adhwara group of rivers is decreasing. <br />'' <br />'' People from relief camps are returning from relief camps. Now only one thousand two hundred fifty people are in relief camps. <br />'' <br />'' However, rail traffic on Darbhanga – Samastipur section remained suspended for the fourth day as surging water of Bagmati is touching the rail bridge between Thalwara and Hayaghat station. <br />'' <br />'' In view of this, 22 trains have been cancelled while eight trains have been diverted. Patrolling has been intensified along rail tracks to avert untoward incidents. <br />'' <br />'' Over 88 lakh people spread over 13 districts are reeling under the impact of the flood. 130 people have so far been killed throughout the state due to flood-related incidents.<br />''

Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Araria, East Champaran , Darbhanga and Sheohar district borne the brunt of floods, where together 53 blocks are affected.<br />'' <br />'' AIR correspondent reports that all major rivers in the state are showing falling and static trend except Burhi Gandak and Bagmati. The water level of Bagmati is still 2 meter above the danger mark at Kataounjha in Sitamarhi. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">According to Central Water Commission report water level of Burhi Gandak  and Lalbakeya is still rising in Sikandarpur and Gowabari in Muzaffarpur and East Champaran districts. In Darbhanga and Katihar Flood water today entered in some new areas of Darbhanga and Katihar districts.</span>
