Flood situation improves in Bihar as water level recedes

The flood situation in North Bihar is fast improving as the water level is receding in all the rivers in the state. AIR correpondent reports, the flood situation has already stabilised in the central part of the state. Normalcy is returning to the flood affected districts of Madhubani, Darbhanga, Sheohar, Sitamarhi and Muzaffarpur. The road connectivity disrupted due to flood water is being restored. However, there are reports of deluge in some of the villages of Darbhanga, Sheohar and Sitamarhi. The distribution of foodgrains and polythene sheets among the flood victims of the affected area is gaining momentum. AIR correspondent reports, the administration in flood affected districts is also providing cash relief of two hundred and fifty rupees for each family.
