Flood situation improves as water recedes in UP rivers

In Uttar Pradesh water level in most of the rivers is now receding, as heavy rains are not reported from any part of the state. The state government has claimed no untoward rain and flood related is reported from anywhere during last 24 hours.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that River Ghaghara is receding in Bahraich, Barabanki, Gonda and Ballia district while river Rapti, Sarayu, Budi Gonda and Gurra are also receding at Lakhimpur Kheri, Faizabad and Deoria districts. Administration has launched immunization drive in flood-affected areas to check spread of epidemic. Immunization for cattle is also taking place.
