In Uttar Pradesh, the flood situation continues to be grim in western U. At least 6 people have been killed in drowning and other rain related incidents in Shajehanpur and Balrampur during last 24 hours. AIR correspondent reports that the rivers Yamuna, Ramganga and Ganga are still in spate in Aligarh, Mathura, Etah, Farrukhabad and Shahjehan Pur. The Provincial Armed Constabulary-PAC has been deployed in these districts to evacuate the people. The raging Yamuna river has engulfed around a dozen villages in Tappal area of Aligarh. The river Ramganga is flowing 25 centimetres above the danger mark in Farrukhabad. More than two hundred villages in Badaun, Shahjehanpur and Hardoi have become affected due to flood of Ramganga. The rescue and relief operation is in full swing in these areas.
