In Uttar Pradesh, though the water level of rivers Ghaghra, Saryu and Sharda has gone below the danger mark at several places but the flood situation in Varanasi, Ghazipur and Ballia has become grim as level of the river Ganga is rising at these places. AIR Gorakhpur correspondent quoting met official said, the monsoon is now active in the eastern parts of the state.
