Due to incessant rain in the Hilly areas and release of water from different barrages for the last two days many districts from the western part of the state are facing a flood like situation.Several areas in Bijnore, Lakihimpur Khiri, Meerut, Pilibhit, Muzaffarnagar and Barabanki are flood affected and hundred of acres of agriculture land is also badly affected. In several places paddy and other crops are damaged due to flood water.Due to overflowing Malan and kho rivers in Bijnore around a dozen villages are affected. After damage on road the Bijnore -haridwar road is also closed for traffic.In Lakhimpur Khiri the rise in Sharda and Gaghra rivers water has entered into Dudhwa National park .some villages of low line area in Puranpur tehsil are also affected. In Lakhimpur the Sharda River is still flowing above the danger mark.In Meerut due to Rain and release of water from haridwar for many days, at least a dozen villages in Hastinapur Khaddar area have been badly hit.Five villages under Bhopa police station area in Muzaffarnagr are also hit by flood water The administration has opened five flood post in muzaffarnagr to monitor the situation .According to Central water Commission Ganga is also 15 centimeter above the danger mark at Narora in Bulandshahr.Ghagra is also on warning level in Turtipar in Ballia, Ayodhya and at Elgin Bridge in Barabanki.
