In Uttar Pradesh, flood alert has been issued for eight districts due to continous rain in Uttarakhand and other parts of Northern India. More than four lakh cusec water have been discharged from Banbasa Barrage since last evening.According to state Flood Control Unit the Flood alert has been issued for Pilibhit, Baharaich, Lakhimpur Khiri, Sitapur, Barabanki, Faizabad, Gonda and Moradabad districts.The Met department has predicted that heavy rain fall would occur in some areas of eastern Up and Heavy to Very Heavy rain fall may occur in few places of western U.P during Next forty eight hours. Several parts of Uttar Pradesh received good rain fall during the day today.Meanwhile, Gaghra and Sharda rivers are rising in many areas. Ghagra has crossed the danger mark at Elgin Bridge in Barabanki and Sharda is flowing above the danger mark at Paliankalan in Lakhimpur Khiri. Ganga is also flowing above the danger mark in Narora in Bulandshahr.Gaghra river is rising in Barabanki and Ayodhya and crossed the warning level this evening.
