Flight services resume from Srinagar Airport, Curfew continues in Kashmir valley

Srinagar Airport has become operational for commercial flights from today. The airport was closed for the flights on the second of this month for renovation and up gradation of the runway.The situation in Kashmir continues to be tense but under control as indefinite curfew continues in the entire valley for the fourth consecutive day. There have been clashes and violation of curfew in Berwara area of Badgam district where four civilians were injured in firing by security forces. An official spokesman has said that the people resorted to stone pelting on security men and forces had to open fire injuring four persons. Some people also tried to defy curfew in Tangmarg area of Baramulla district.
