In Uttar Pradesh, five jail personnel of Lucknow district jail were suspended today in connection with the mysterious death of jailed Deputy Chief Medical Officer Dr. YS Sachan, the prime accused in the murder of two Chief Medical Officers of Lucknow Dr. BP Singh and Dr. Vinod Kumar Arya. The State government has announced a judicial probe into the death of Dr. Sachan. AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that the jail administration has suspended the Jailor, Deputy Jailor, two security guards and one jail warden for alleged dereliction of duties.Meanwhile a team of five doctors conducted the autopsy of the dead body, the details of post mortem is yet to be disclosed. Police claimed that Dr. Sachan had committed suicide and was found hanging in the unused toilet at the first floor of jail hospital building.He was arrested in April this year following the murder of CMO Dr. BP Singh for his alleged involvement in the irregularities in the implementation of National Rural Health Mission. Later, he was named in the murder of both the CMOs. Dr BP Singh was killed on April 2 this year while his predecessor Dr. Vinod Kumar Arya was murdered in the month of October last year.Dr. Sachan was interrogated by the police yesterday in the jail as he was admitted in the hospital of jail for general ailment. He had undergone Angiography in the past.Meanwhile all major opposition parties of the state have demanded a CBI inquiry into the death of Dr. Sachan. Congress State President Rita Bahuguna Joshi said the mysterious death of Dr. Sachan has made the murder of both the CMOs more complicated and only impartial investigation will be able to bring out the truth. Reiterating her demand for a CBI probe into the murder of two CMOs she said the death of Dr. Sachan should also be investigated by the national probe agency.BJP MLC and state spokesperson HN Dixit has termed the death of Dr. Sachan as mysterious and said the suicide version was not convincing.
