In Jammu and Kashmir, a day after the arrest of two militants from Gandoh and Thathri areas of Doda district, police yesterday arrested three more militants and worked out the case of grenade attack at Thathri police station besides thwarting their plot to revive militancy in Doda district.
Our correspondent reports that three militants, who were arrested yesterday, have been identified as Abdul Rashid alias Abdullah , Altaf Hussain and Mohammad Yaqoob.
Two militants, who were arrested the day before yesterday, included Akhter Hussain and Mohammad Rafi . Total recoveries made from the militants included one AK-56 rifle, three magazine, 143 rounds, one Chinese pistol, one magazine, five rounds, two Chinese grenades, one pouch and two wireless sets of Motorola.
Police said in addition to their involvement in grenade attack on Thathri police station, the militants were also trying to revive militancy in Doda.
