In Uttar Pradesh, five people have succumbed to deadly encephalitis in Baba Raghav Das Medical College Hospital of Gorakhpur during last 24 hours. Our Gorakhpur correspondent quoting official sources reports that , of five dead 2 each belonged to Kushinagar and Bihar while one belonged to Gorakhpur. With this, the death toll due to encephalitis has mounted to 306 this year. As many as 231 patients are undergoing treatment in BRD Medical Hospital and other government hospitals of the region.
