Five Shiv Sena members were suspended from the Maharashtra Assembly for a year for creation of ruckus in the house on Thursday. The resolution to this effect was tabled by Legislative Affairs Minister Mr. Harshvardhan Patil stating that they indulged in the unruly behaviour and insult of the Constitution during the noisy protest. The resolution was passed by the voice vote amidst the din. Both the houses of Maharashtra Legislature saw uproarious scenes on the second consecutive day of the on-going Winter Session in Nagpur on Thursday on the issue of farmers’ distress. The proceedings of these houses were adjourned thrice each before being adjourned for the day.
