In Kashmir valley, security forces are on high alert after today's fidayeen attack in Bemina area in which five security personnel were killed. Two terrorists also died in the retaliatory firing.

The search operation in the area housing a battalion headquarter of CRPF and Jammu and Kashmir police residential quarters has ended but high alert is on.

AIR Srinagar correspondent reports that the situation in the city is tense but under control. Authorities have decided to impose restriction on people movement in Srinagar city from midnight.
