Five rebel independent MLAs approach High Court with an amended petition

In Karnataka, the five rebel independent MLAs have approached the High Court with an amended petition seeking interim relief regarding their disqualification by the Speaker on Monday. Janata Dal (Secular) MLC Y.S.V. Datta informed the media in Bangalore today that the advocate has filed an advance application and amended petition in this regard. He said this has been necessitated in view of trust vote on Thursday. Mr. Dutta added that the application has been handed over to the Registrar of the Karnataka High Court who will forward it to the Chief Justice J.S. Khehar for consideration. He said as the High Court is on vacation, the Chief Justice has to decide about this petition as a special case. Meanwhile, the BJP has issued whip to 105 legislators of the party.
